Emomali Rahmon Made Personnel Appointments in the Command Staff of the Border Troops of Tajikistan


Today, on August 7, 2023, the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon held a conversation with personnel appointed to the leadership and command staff of the Border Troops of the State Committee for National Security at the Palace of the Nation, Khovar reports.

By decrees of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, qualified, dedicated and experienced officers, graduates of two higher military institutions of the Republic of Tajikistan and abroad with good command and organizational skills.

Personnel changes also affected the heads of the border detachments of Khatlon and Sughd regions, GBAO, and other structural units of the Border Troops of the State Committee for National Security. Young and experienced officers have been appointed to these responsible positions.

The President of the country recalled the constant attention and care of the Government of the Republic to this military unit and noted that in recent years the situation with the provision of the Border Troops with the necessary supplies has improved, living conditions and promotion also meet the requirements.

“The state of logistics of the Border Troops of the State Committee for National Security is improving day by day on the basis of the requirements of military regulations, and before the 30th anniversary of the formation of the Border Troops, the celebration of which is scheduled for next year, the construction of modern facilities, border outposts, detachments and other the necessary infrastructure of the industry,” the Leader of the Nation noted.

Taking into account the complex and unpredictable situation in the region and the world, the head of state stressed that the protection of the state border must be ensured in accordance with the procedure and documents providing a legal basis, any violations of the law on the border must be eliminated.

With the analysis and consideration of what is happening on the border, including drug trafficking, weapons, organized crime, illegal crossing of the state border, the leaders of the Border Troops of the State Committee for National Security were given specific instructions regarding the eradication of hazing, smuggling of goods and products, as well as the prevention of terrorist acts and transnational organized crime groups.

“To be a border guard is an honorable and sacred duty, the peace and security of the state, its integrity and further development largely depend on your conscientious and faithful service, valiant officers and soldiers of the Motherland,” said the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan.
