The leader and 15 members of the organized crime group have already been identified, 13 of whom have been detained on suspicion of involvement in the kidnapping of Shukhrat Ismatulloev

As a result of operational and investigative measures in Turkey, another member of an organized criminal group was detained and brought to Tajikistan, which committed the abduction and murder of the first deputy head of Orienbank JSC Shukhrat Ismatulloev, the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Tajikistan reports.

“Citizen Safarov Bakhtovar Nazarovich, born on December 5, 1995, previously convicted of drug trafficking, a day after the crime – on June 24, 2023, left Tajikistan and disappeared in Turkey,” the report says.

Currently, a leader and 15 members of an organized criminal group have been identified in a criminal case, 13 of whom have already been detained and taken into custody, the Prosecutor General’s Office emphasizes.

Operational and investigative activities of the country’s law enforcement agencies to identify and bring to justice the remaining members of the organized criminal group continue, according to the agency’s website.

The banker is still looking for
Meanwhile, more than a month after the abduction in Tajikistan, they continue to search for the deputy chairman of Orienbank, Shukhrat Ismatulloev.

Searches are being conducted in various areas, including Varzob and the zone from Ayni to the border with Uzbekistan.

Rescuers use special equipment, including cradle cranes, to scan the water from above and look for missing people or vehicles.

The head of the CoES of the Republic of Tajikistan, Rustam Nazarzoda, recently stated that “rescuers will not stop searching until they reach a result.”

He noted that, in some cases, search operations can take several months, especially if the rivers where the search is being carried out have high water levels and severe turbidity, which makes it very difficult to carry out.

“However, the authorities do not stop efforts and continue to search,” he said.
It should be reminded that Shukhrat Ismatulloev, First Deputy Chairman of Orienbank OJSC, was kidnapped in Dushanbe on June 23 by a criminal group created by Dilshod Saidmurodov.

The abductors forcibly put Shukhrat Ismatulloev into a Hyundai Sonata car and took him away in the direction of the village of Shodob-1, located in the village council of Chorbog, Varzob district.

After that, in one of the houses of the indicated village, until 3 o’clock on June 24, he was tortured with the use of physical force, an electric shocker, an auto-hair dryer and other means, and was subsequently killed. Then, in order to hide the traces of the crime, the body of the murdered man and the car were thrown into the Zarafshan River at the 130th kilometer of the Dushanbe-Chanak highway.
