Tajikistan and Russia will jointly train specialists in the field of transport. A memorandum of cooperation and a “Road Map” were signed between the relevant departments of the two countries. NIAT “Khovar” was informed about this by the Ministry of Transport of Tajikistan.
As previously reported, in Moscow, following the results of meetings and negotiations at the highest level of Tajikistan and Russia, in the presence of the heads of state – the respected Emomali Rahmon and the respected Vladimir Putin, 8 new documents on cooperation were signed.
Among the signed documents is a Memorandum between the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation on the development of cooperation in the training and retraining of specialists in the transport sector and the Practical Action Plan (“Road Map”) for cooperation in the transport sector between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Russian Federation for 2023- 2025.
The documents were signed in the presence of the heads of the two states by the Minister of Transport of the Republic of Tajikistan Azim Ibrokhim and the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Vitaly Savelyev.
The purpose of the Memorandum is to facilitate the implementation of joint projects for the training and retraining of specialists in the field of transport, which meet the interests of the development of the transport complex of the two countries.
The parties intend to assist each other in holding educational transport seminars in Tajikistan and Russia in the following priority areas:
- multimodal transportation;
— partnership between the state and the private sector in the field of transport;
— development of regional and urban transport networks;
— construction and management of transport infrastructure;
— transport safety;
— transport and economic law;
— transport ecology;
— digitization of the transport industry;
— determination of competitive advantages in the global transport services market;
— cooperation within interstate associations;
— transport and logistics sector;
— development of transport and logistics projects, provision of consulting services in their implementation;
— development of draft regulatory legal acts affecting the interests of organizations and entrepreneurs operating in the market of transport services, transport infrastructure and logistics;
— development of recommendations for improving current legislation and adoption of regulations to improve the quality of transport and logistics services.
In these areas, cooperation is expected between the State Institution “Road Transport and Logistics Services”, the State Unitary Enterprise “Center for Digitalization of the Road Transport Industry”, and other relevant structures of the Ministry of Transport of Tajikistan with the State Institution “Independent State Institution of Higher Education of Russia” and the Russian Transport University.
According to the Practical Action Plan (“Road Map”) for cooperation in the transport sector between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Russian Federation for 2023-2025, the possibility of connecting Tajikistan to the Agroexpress project will be considered. This is a specialized service for organizing expedited container transportation by rail. The project is being implemented by Russian Railways (RZD) and the Russian Export Center (REC). The service allows you to deliver agricultural goods to Turkey, CIS countries and China.
It is worth noting that Tajikistan’s accession to Agroexpress can speed up the delivery time of perishable products and reduce the risks of factors affecting the quality of goods.
