Ambassador Grigoriev: Compatriots in Tajikistan Support Putin’s Nomination

Russian diplomat Semyon Grigoriev said that compatriots living in Tajikistan support Russian head of state Vladimir Putin and his nomination for the presidency in 2024.

Russian Ambassador to Tajikistan Grigoriev said that long before the start of the election campaign, the diplomatic mission began to receive appeals in support of the nomination of Vladimir Putin for the post of President of the Russian Federation.

According to the diplomat, recently the Coordination Council of Associations of Russian Compatriots of Tajikistan made a statement welcoming Vladimir Vladimirovich’s decision to participate as a candidate in the presidential elections next year.

As the diplomat noted, Tajikistan had one of the first such reactions to the nomination of Vladimir Putin.
Grigoriev also said that Putin will definitely visit Tajikistan; an invitation from the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon is being worked out, TASS reports.

During an official visit to Moscow in November this year, Rakhmon invited Putin to visit Tajikistan at a convenient time. In October, a meeting between Putin and Rakhmon took place in Kyrgyzstan on the sidelines of the summit of the heads of state of the CIS participants. Putin visited Dushanbe in June 2022.
