Tajik Tourism Workers Are Trained in Turkey


A delegation from the tourism industry of Tajikistan, led by the deputy chairman of the Committee for Tourism Development of Tajikistan, Ziyodullo Salimzoda, arrived in Antalya. This was reported by the press service of the committee.

The purpose of the visit of representatives of Tajik tourism to Turkey is to participate in a training course. It is attended by managers and officials of a number of travel companies, restaurants and hotels.

It is expected that during one week of the course, representatives of service agencies in Tajikistan will study such blocks as “Tour Operator”, “Travel Agent”, “Guide”, “Cook”, “Hospitality”, “Restaurant”, “Translation”, etc.

According to the Chairman of the Committee for Tourism Development of Tajikistan, in the first 6 months of 2023, the number of foreign tourists in the country increased by 34% compared to the same period in 2022.

According to official data, in the first half of this year, 628 foreigners visited Tajikistan, of which more than 487 thousand arrived in the country for the purpose of tourism.

The republic was visited by more than 453 thousand people from the CIS countries.

Tajikistan has also become more popular among Russian tourists.
