Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan Agree on Delimitation of Another 17.98 Km of Border

AKIPRESS.COM – The topographic working groups of the governmental delegations of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan for delimitation and demarcation of the Kyrgyz-Tajik border held talks from November 1-8 in Buston, Sughd region.

Topograhic working groups reached agreement on delimitation of another 17.98 km of the Kyrgyz-Tajik border, the Cabinet’s press service reported.

The sides will continue work on delimitation of remaining border sections at the next meeting, which will be held on the territory of Kyrgyzstan. The respective protocol was signed following the talks.

The length of the state border between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan makes around 972 km. Topographic working groups agreed on delimitation of 57.3 km of the border in early October.
