Governor of the Sverdlovsk region Evgeny Kuyvashev works in Tajikistan. A source close to the regional Cabinet reported this to URA.RU.
“The governor took a large delegation there – deputies, business,” the interlocutor said. “The purpose [of the trip] is to develop economic and humanitarian ties. The program includes a number of joint events, including the conclusion of cooperation agreements,” confirmed the region’s information policy department.
They also noted that “the visit will take place as a continuation of the high-level dialogue that took place last week.” On November 22, Presidents Vladimir Putin and Emomali Rahmon in Moscow discussed security issues, including the situation in Afghanistan, and strengthening trade and economic ties.
At the beginning of November, Kuyvashev traveled to Kazakhstan. He participated in a large meeting led by Putin and Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
