A meeting of the Executive Committee of the Football Federation of Tajikistan was held in Dushanbe, at which the outlines of the next football season in the country were approved. At a meeting of the Executive Committee of the Football Federation of Tajikistan, competitions were discussed and approved, which next year will be held under the auspices of the Football League of Tajikistan.
The 33rd championship of Tajikistan among major league teams starts on March 30 and, like the last two years, will be held in two stages. At the first, all ten clubs will play in two rounds. The teams will then be divided into two groups in the second stage. In total, at the end of the season, each team will play 22 matches in the championship.
The match for the 2024 Tajikistan Super Cup between the national champion, Dushanbe’s Istiklol, and the silver medalist of the major league, Kulyab’s Ravshan, will take place on May 11 at the TALKO-Arena stadium in Tursunzade. The meeting will take place at the renovated stadium in Tursunzoda, where lighting will be installed. The game for the Tajikistan Super Cup of the 2024 season will begin at 18:00.
The central stadium of Istaravshan, where lighting will also be installed, was approved as the venue for the final match of the 2024 Tajikistan Cup.
It was also decided to leave the limit on foreign players in the Tajikistan championship unchanged. Next year, each major league club will be able to enter a maximum of seven foreign players into its squad for the season, with five foreign players allowed on the field at any one time.
The next season of the Tajikistan championship among first league teams starts on April 19. The competition will be held in two rounds.
In addition, at a meeting of the FTF Executive Committee, it was decided to increase application fees for teams of the highest and first leagues of Tajikistan. Now the application fee for participation in the country’s top league will be 80 thousand somoni, and in the first league – 40 thousand somoni. Previously, fees for participation in competitions under the auspices of the Football League of Tajikistan were 60 thousand somoni (major league) and 20 thousand somoni (first league).
