Emomali Rahmon in Bobojon Gafurov District Got Acquainted With the Cultivation of Vegetables


On April 1, Emomali Rahmon in Bobojon Gafurov district of the Sughd region got acquainted with the activities of the modern greenhouse of the Temurjon dekhkan farm and visited an exhibition of agricultural products.

The total area of the farm is 1.5 hectares, a greenhouse has been erected on one hectare for growing vegetables, including tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers. The greenhouse was built by the domestic entrepreneur Ilhomjon Ibrokhimov with the aim of a worthy meeting of the great and sacred national holiday of the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Now in the greenhouse, cucumbers of various varieties are mainly grown. The annual yield of cultivars of cucumbers is 2500-3000 centners.

The greenhouse technology is made in the Republic of Korea, the crop is drip-irrigated and fed. The water and make-up levels are controlled by a computer.

An artificial sun is created in the greenhouse with the help of 8,000 special electric bulbs. This new system was first launched in Tajikistan. This method is used on cloudy days and to prolong the short winter days, useful for good and timely development of the crop.

On the territory of the farm, on an area of 0.1 hectares, a separate greenhouse was erected for preparing seedlings of vegetables, 170 thousand seedlings are being prepared at a time. Farmers have already once grown 23,000 seedlings of cucumbers, tomatoes and peppers. Now, 8 varieties of tomatoes have been planted in this area for the experiment, which grow well.

To maintain stable air in the greenhouse, a water cooling system is installed. Heat in the territory of the facility is provided by a centralized system using charcoal. Now in the Temurjon dekhkan farm, Bobojon, Gafurov district, 20 local residents are provided with permanent jobs and good wages.

Emomali Rahmon expressed gratitude to the local entrepreneur for the construction of such a modern production facility and called the activities of business entities exemplary and worthy of praise.

Then the president visited an exhibition of agricultural products. The exhibition mainly featured vegetables grown in the greenhouse by business executives of Bobojon Gafurov district. According to representatives of the industry, there are currently 205 permanent greenhouses operating in the area of 27 hectares in Bobojon Gafurov district. Taking into account the requirements of the time, the district’s business executives have increased the area of new type greenhouses, they strive to increase production at any time of the year and thereby contribute to the enrichment of the market with quality products.
