TAJIKISTAN, March 30 – In continuation of his working visit in the city of Istiklol, the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, visited the Navruz and folk crafts exhibition, which was held in honor of the International Day of Navruz.
The proud and hardworking residents of the city of Istiklol participated in the Navruz festival with great sense of patriotism and joy, displaying the products of their hard work and achievements.
Honorable Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, had a sincere conversation with the residents and congratulated them on the international holiday of Navruz.
According to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, Navruz is an ancient holiday of the civilized and cultured Tajik nation, which has a history of more than 6 thousand years.
Honorable Head of state Emomali Rahmon expressed that one of the symbols of Navruz is cleaning the house and place of residence, streets and avenues, planting saplings and sowing seeds of hope.
In honor of the International Navruz holiday, a festive stand of haft sin and haft shin items was decorated here, which is a reflection of the ancient tradition of table setting of the ancient Tajik nation.
Another corner of the Navruz celebration was decorated with national dishes, such as food prepared with medicinal spring herbs. In separate pots, women prepared sumanak, which is one of the main symbols of Navruz holiday.
Also, the good-natured women of the city of Istiklol prepared and presented bread products, including cakes and kalama, chapati and fatir, and the like, in separate corners. At the same time, confectionery products, juices and fruit jams were also exhibited. In one corner of the Navruz show, young people organized sports games, poetry and singing, and a flower party.
At the Navruz exhibition, folk crafts such as carpet weaving, felt weaving, gold embroidery, embroidery, silk weaving, satin and silk weaving, and dress and needlework were presented by the city’s artisan women. It should be said that the ancient arts of carving, plate cutting, cradle making, basket weaving, chest making, blacksmithing, carpentry and other types of handicrafts have been revived, develop and flourish among the honorable residents of the city of Istiklol in recent years, passed down from generation to generation.
Honorable President of the country Emomali Rahmon emphasized that we, the honorable Tajik people, are very happy and proud that the international community has recognized this truly popular holiday as a great achievement of human wisdom. It was expressed with satisfaction that the acceptance of Navruz as a world holiday by the United Nations is evidence that the inhabitants of the planet respect this essentially cultural and humanitarian ritual of the Tajiks and the countries of the Navruz area and promote it as a means of reconciliation, strengthening peace and stability, and friendship.
