“They Wanted to Sue.” Serik Sapiev Reacted to the Knockout in the Kazakhstan-Uzbekistan Fight


Olympic champion and two-time triumphant world boxing championship Serik Sapiyev commented on the victory of the captain of the Kazakhstan national team Aslanbek Shymbergenov in the 1/4 finals of the Summer Asian Games in Hangzhou (China), Tengri Sport reports with reference to Vesti.kz.

In the weight category up to 71 kilograms, Shymbergenov was opposed by Asadkhuzha Muydinkhuzhaev from Uzbekistan. During the fight, Shymbergenov was inferior, but managed to knock down his opponent three times in the third round, after which the fight was stopped.

“They wanted to sue our Aslanbek. It didn’t work out. Congratulations to Aslanbek on his victory!!!,” he wrote

Shymbergenov won and will meet Mensa Okazawa from Japan in the semifinals.
