The prosecutor’s office of the Saratov region approved the extradition to Tajikistan of a 26-year-old citizen of the republic. He is wanted for desertion, the regional prosecutor’s office noted.
According to Tajik law enforcement officers, the man was a company commander with the rank of senior lieutenant. After his vacation in August last year, he did not report to his unit and went to Russia.
The man was detained at the border in the Ozinsky district. Now he will be handed over to law enforcement officers of Tajikistan.
