Deep condolences and sincere support in connection with the death of the grandmother of the President of Turkmenistan Ogulabat Berdimuhamedova was expressed by the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon to his Turkmen counterpart Serdar Berdimuhamedov during a telephone conversation held today, the Watan information program of the Turkmen television reported.
On behalf of the Tajik people, Emomali Rahmon conveyed words of sincere sympathy.
Noting that the life path of Ogulabad-edje is an example for the younger generation as a support and honor of a family devoted to the Motherland, the native hearth, the Tajik leader wished the President of Turkmenistan, as well as relatives and friends, fortitude in this difficult time.
Thanking the head of Tajikistan for condolences, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the importance of the great support shown by a close friend in these difficult days in connection with a heavy loss.
At the end of the conversation, the head of Turkmenistan once again sincerely thanked the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon for sincere condolences, wishing good health, prosperity and great success, and peace and prosperity to the Tajik people.
President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon today also sent a telegram of condolences to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in connection with the death of his mother Ogulabat eje.
The mother of the head of the highest representative body of people’s power Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the grandmother of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov Ogulabat eje died at the age of 86.
Earlier it was also reported that the President of Turkmenistan postponed the official visit to Tajikistan planned earlier for April 10-11 in connection with the death of his grandmother.
