As part of the celebration of the 32nd anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, during his working trip to GBAO, the Chairman of the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Colonel General of Police R. Nazarzoda, took part in a number of events dedicated to this significant day, reports the CoES. RT.
Thus, on September 8, 2023, the Head of the CoES took part in the opening of a sports ground, a warehouse building with food and a place for cooking, built on the territory of the rural jamoat Kevron, Darvaz district of GBAO.
On September 9, 2023, in the Shugnan district, the Chairman of the Committee took part and, on behalf of the Government of the country, presented residents with the keys to a new residential building that was damaged as a result of the natural disaster. Colonel General of Police R. Nazarzoda visited an exhibition of agricultural products, opened a greenhouse, a new medical center building and the commissioning of new power lines.
The Chairman of the Committee took part in an exhibition of folk crafts and dishes of district residents, and also donated monetary assistance to orphans of the district.
On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, in a solemn ceremony, the Head of the CoES presented state awards to two senior employees of the executive body of government of the Shugnan region of GBAO.
Arriving in the administrative center of GBAO – the city of Khorog, the Head of the CoES took part in the opening of the Center for temporary accommodation of the population affected by natural disasters, located on the territory of the CoES Directorate for GBAO. The opening was also attended by the Chairman of the city of Khorog, Head of the Aga Khan Agency for Habitat in the Republic of Tajikistan.
