Tajikistan and Czech Republic discussed prospects for economic and industrial cooperation


On July 17, in Dushanbe, at a meeting of the permanent interdepartmental working group on economic and industrial cooperation between Tajikistan and the Czech Republic, important bilateral aspects of bilateral cooperation in priority areas were discussed, NIAT Khovar reports with reference to the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of Tajikistan.

According to the source, the meeting considered the current level and prospects of bilateral cooperation in various areas of trade and economy, industry, energy, transport, agriculture, finance, science and research, modern technologies and tourism.

In order to further expand cooperation, the need was emphasized for the implementation of joint projects and programs, including the agro-industrial complex, in the fields of industry, engineering, textile, manufacturing, mining, metallurgical, electrical engineering, energy, as well as in the transport and trade sectors.

In this regard, the importance of creating and intensifying such new modern instruments of cooperation in the production, industry and investment sphere as holding business forums and exhibitions of industrial products of the two countries was emphasized.

As part of the visit of the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, Jozef Sikela, an industrial and investment forum was held between the two countries, following which the final protocol on industrial cooperation and economic cooperation was signed, which provides for the next meeting in 2024 in Prague.
