Farrukh Sharifzadeh, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan and Bagheri Kani exchanged views on a range of bilateral issues, including strengthening economic relations, promoting cultural and scientific relations, strengthening regional and international cooperation, and increasing parliamentary interactions in their meeting in Tehran.
Pointing to the developing cooperation between the two countries, the Tajik deputy foreign minister announced his country’s readiness to develop relations and strengthen cooperation with Iran.
Referring to the existence of nearly 200 cooperation documents between the two countries, Sharifzadeh considered the full and effective implementation of these agreement as a good basis for strengthening cooperation and demanded an increase in the volume of economic exchanges between the two countries.
This senior Tajik diplomat also pointed to the history of good cooperation between the two countries in international and regional organizations and bodies and emphasized the continuation and strengthening of relations between the two countries that speak the same Persian language and have cultural similarities.
At the end of the meeting, the two sides stressed the need for holding regular political consultations with the aim of accelerating cooperation in various fields.
