Russia and Tajikistan Will Cooperate in the Training of Transport Specialists

Russia and Tajikistan have agreed on cooperation in the field of training specialists in the transport sector. The Minister of Transport of Tajikistan Azim Ibrokhim and the head of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation Vitaly Savelyev signed an interdepartmental memorandum on cooperation in the field of training and retraining of specialists.

President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon officially visited Moscow during the signing of this document. The purpose of the memorandum is to facilitate the implementation of joint projects focused on training specialists who will meet the needs for the development of the transport complex of both countries.

According to the agreement, the departments plan to hold seminars on various topics, including multimodal transportation, the development of regional and urban transport networks, transport security, as well as the development of transport and logistics projects and the provision of consulting services in their implementation.

As a correspondent of the MANGAZEYA News Agency was told, the parties will also cooperate in developing recommendations to improve current legislation and regulations in order to improve the quality of transport and logistics services. It is important to note that within the framework of this area, cooperation is planned between the relevant structures of the Ministry of Transport of Tajikistan and Russian higher educational institutions, including the Transport University.

“It is important that such cooperation is built. Logistics in the modern world solves many problems of economic development,” noted Sergei Fedotov, an expert at the Central Russian Institute of Management, a branch of RANEPA.
