Rectors of Tajik and Uzbek Educational Institutions Discussed Cooperation Strategies


At the invitation of Fergana State University, a meeting was held between the rector of the Tajik State University of Law, Business and Politics, Professor Mumin Sharifzoda, and the rector, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Bakhodirjon Shermuhammadov, reports SugdNEWS with reference to the press service of the Tajik University.

During the meeting, issues of further development of scientific and educational cooperation, development of new methods for improving the quality of education were discussed.

The parties also discussed the issues of exchanging qualified teachers for teaching students, completing joint research work in connection with scientific research, attracting master’s students, graduate students, doctoral students and applicants to study and defend scientific dissertations, helping to improve the scientific level of teachers and scientists, participating in scientific- practical and scientific-theoretical conferences, conferences and seminars, writing textbooks, research works, teaching aids and adapting the quality of education to world standards.

The Uzbek side highly appreciated the activities of their Tajik colleagues and their contribution to the field of science and education.

“As part of mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of science and education between universities, by decision of the Council of Fergana State University dated June 27, 2023 No. 11, the rector of the State University of Law, Business and Politics of Tajikistan Sharifzoda Mumin Mashokir was awarded the title “Honorary Professor” of Fergana State University,” the source noted. .

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to further expand cooperation between these two higher professional institutions.

It should be noted that the Tajik State University of Law, Business and Politics in the city of Khujand is one of the leading universities in the country, with 7,353 full-time and part-time students studying.
