The Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation (RANEPA) and the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan (NANT) have signed a cooperation agreement, reports Sputnik.
The parties intend to conduct joint scientific research, jointly train academic and teaching staff, and also conduct mutual internships for young researchers.
Vice-Rector of the Russian university Polina Nemirovchenko said that the agreement with NAST was the first RANEPA project for interaction with academic circles in Central Asian countries.
“Our goal is to increase cooperation with the Academy of Public Administration of Tajikistan, as well as with other universities. We expect to increase the number of students in higher and additional professional education programs,” she noted.
Representatives of the Russian Academy also held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Tajikistan Semyon Grigoriev and the head of the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office Ivan Ivanov, during which they considered the requests and capabilities of Russian and Tajik universities and government agencies in the field of training specialists.
