AKIPRESS.COM – People’s Artist of Uzbekistan, famous film and theater actor Murod Rajabov died at age of 74. The Agency of Cinematography of Uzbekistan announced the death of the actor in its telegram channel on April 8.
“People’s Artist of Uzbekistan, our beloved actor Murad Rajabov has died at the age of 74 after a long illness,” the statement said.
Murad Rajabov was born on May 30, 1949 in Tashkent. He graduated from the acting department of the Tashkent Theater and Arts Institute named after A. N. Ostrovsky.
Rajabov became famous during the Soviet Union thanks to his roles in such films as the television series Fire Roads (1977-84), It Was in Kokand (1977), Love and Fury (1978), Beware! Snakes! (1979), Last Inspection (1985), Code of Silence (1990).
The actor continued to work in Uzbekistan in post-Soviet times as an actor and director, making such films as Parimomo (2000) and Friends (2005).
Murad Rajabov has not acted in films since 2015. At the beginning of this year, it became known that he was very ill.
