Parliament Committee Passes Draft of Constitutional Law on Kyrgyz Language in 2nd Reading


AKIPRESS.COM – The Parliament Committee for Social Policy today passed the draft of the constitutional law on state language in the second reading.

The bill was presented by Committee Chairperson Vinera Raimchabaeva (Yiman Nuru).

The bill is aimed to create regulatory framework for use of the state language and implementation of state language policy she said.

The Committee members noted the bill will not derogate the status of Russian language, official language in Kyrgyzstan, since all official documents will be translated also in Russian language.
