Over 1 million foreign citizens visited Tajikistan in January-September this year, which is 18% more than in the same period in 2022, the country’s statistical agency reports.
Among them, 802.3 thousand people, in accordance with the methodology of the World Tourism Organization, are considered tourists.
A relatively large flow of foreigners to the republic was recorded from the following countries:
Meanwhile, the number of citizens of Tajikistan who left the republic in nine months of this year amounted to 2 million 513.9 thousand people. This is an increase of 23.9% compared to the same period in 2022.
