The Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of Tajikistan reports that the news that a new type of coronavirus, COVID-Omicron XBB 1.5, is circulating in the country has no real basis and now severe respiratory diseases are circulating in the country, and not some dangerous virus. In this context, the Ministry of Health of Tajikistan reports that today people visiting medical institutions with symptoms of severe respiratory diseases are diagnosed with COVID-19 disease.

Fortunately, test results show that no one in the country is infected with this virus. Therefore, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of Tajikistan respectfully asks our dear compatriots not to believe such sensational and provocative information, but to protect themselves and their loved ones from severe respiratory diseases, using the recommendations of experts in this field. As you know, every year with the advent of the cold season in the country, the number of patients with acute respiratory diseases increases, which is a common occurrence.

According to medical experts, influenza is a serious respiratory tract infection. This disease affects people of all ages, especially children and the elderly with weak immune systems. Symptoms of the disease: The patient’s body temperature rises, the body temperature rises, he feels pain in the muscles and joints, he develops a dry or phlegm cough, a very runny nose, a stuffy throat, a sore throat and weakness. In some cases, the patient complains of ear pain and loss of appetite.

Some children vomit and become weak and lethargic when they have the flu. It should be said that colds are caused by severe respiratory diseases. Influenza is transmitted by airborne droplets as a result of contact with a sick person. The first flu symptoms appear 3-4 days after infection. People with the flu experience a sore throat and chest when they cough. What should you do to recover from the flu as quickly as possible? First of all, the patient’s bed linen and towels should be separated so as not to infect others. Self-administration of any medications, especially antibiotics, is not correct. Because the flu is a viral disease and taking antibiotics will not help.

The doctor examines the patient’s condition and prescribes medicine. The patient should sleep and rest 8 hours a day. During the day it is useful to drink hot green tea, baboon tea, nastaran (khulul, khuch), marmarak, mint, oregano with honey. Ginger tea with a teaspoon of honey is useful for strengthening the immune system. The room where the patient sleeps should be cleaned with a damp cloth. If the patient’s table contains fresh fruits and vegetables (garlic, onions), dairy products, kiwi, lemon, orange and honey, the patient will recover faster. Soups made from chicken, fish, matoba with herbs and basil are also useful and speed up the patient’s recovery. It is not recommended to drink coffee during the flu.

Measures to prevent influenza: When visiting crowded places, you should use medical masks, which are now in abundance in pharmacies. After using public passenger transport (bus, trolleybus, minibus) at home and at work, you must wash your hands with soap and your nose with warm saline solution. To prevent infection, oxolinic ointment should be applied to the nostrils before leaving the house. It is useful to change the air in the room and wipe the floor with a damp cloth. The temperature in the house should be kept moderate. Washing your hands before and after eating prevents infectious diseases, including the flu.

Covering the front of your mouth with a tissue when you sneeze and cough is more likely to prevent the spread of pathogens. Consumption of alcohol and tobacco weakens the immune system and increases the risk of contracting any diseases. In addition, maintaining body heat plays an important role in disease prevention. For example, walks in the fresh air, comfortable sleep for 8 hours and moderate rest reduce the risk of disease.
