In Dushanbe, Attackers Hacked a Payment Terminal


In Dushanbe, attackers hacked and stole money from a payment terminal, reports the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan.

According to the source, a 39-year-old local resident contacted Department 2 of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Sino district of Dushanbe with a statement that on the night of September 23-24, 2023, at approximately 01:50, unknown persons hacked into a money transfer terminal located at Shamsi street, stole 3,720 somoni and fled the scene.

The damage caused amounted to 5 thousand 720 somoni.

As a result of operational search activities carried out by police officers, on suspicion of committing this crime, 18, 15, 17 and 15 year old residents of the city of Dushanbe were detained, one of whom was previously convicted under Article 248 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan.

An investigation into this fact is underway.
