President Emomali Rahmon on Friday evening received the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov, who arrived in Dushanbe on a working visit, the press service of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan reports.
During the conversation, the parties discussed the state and prospects of the complex Tajik-Uzbek relations of strategic partnership and allied interaction, considered ways for further development.
It is noted that in this context, a positive trend in the growth of trade between the two countries was noted with satisfaction.
Diversification of mutual trade and expansion of its commodity structure were identified as urgent tasks.
In this regard, Emomali Rahmon pointed to great opportunities in various sectors of industry, in energy, transport, agriculture, tourism and other sectors of mutual interest.
At the same time, further development of cooperation in the areas of light and food industries, non-ferrous metallurgy, automotive industry, as well as the agro-industrial complex was also named as a promising direction.
Attention was also focused on the active expansion of direct economic ties between economic entities and business circles in the real sector of the economy, on the further development of cooperation at the regional level.
The parties expressed interest in further expansion of cultural and humanitarian exchange.
The President of the Republic of Tajikistan emphasized the importance of the active work of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation in line with the achievement of the goals set to strengthen the Tajik-Uzbek cooperation. The parties expressed their readiness for joint efforts to consistently promote the entire range of relations.
