On September 27, in Khorog, as part of the celebration of the International Day for Natural Disaster Risk Reduction, boating demonstrations were held, reports the CoES of the Republic of Tajikistan.
On September 27, rescuers of the CoES Directorate for GBAO organized boating demonstrations on the territory of the lake in the recreation park of the city of Khorog between rescuers, employees of the department of the Main Directorate of the State Fire Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for GBAO, a volunteer group of rescuers of the Aga Khan Agency for Habitat, as well as with the participation of employees ambulance of the city of Khorog.
Students from secondary schools in the city were invited to these performances. The rescuers showed them rescue equipment, showed them a special vehicle used when leaving to provide assistance, and told them about the importance of following safety rules.
The rescuers noted that by their example they want to show children that water in itself is not scary, you just need to know and follow the basic rules of behavior on the water.
