DUSHANBE, November 29, 2023 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The second round of negotiations related to the consideration of the “Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between the Republic of Tajikistan and the European Union” took place on November 28 in Brussels under the chairmanship of the Minister of Economic Development and Trade Zavki Zavkizoda and the Curator of Central Asian countries, Head of Department of the European Commission Luc Devine. NIAT “Khovar” was informed about this by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade.
Zavki Zavkizoda noted that the European Union is a reliable and important partner for achieving the strategic goals of the Republic of Tajikistan, the agreement creates a favorable basis for an even greater expansion of multilateral cooperation.
The agreement provides for increased cooperation between both parties in priority areas, including economy and trade, investment, green economy, finance, banking, energy, industry, transport and logistics, education and border strengthening.
