China and Tajikistan Set Up Exchange of Students in the Oil and Gas and Mining Sectors


China and Tajikistan have established an exchange of students in the oil and gas sector through the Training Center of Tajikistan and China. The center was opened on the basis of the Mining and Metallurgical Institute of Tajikistan in honor of the Years of Industrial Development.

According to the Tajik NIAT “Khovar” at the Mining and Metallurgical Institute, in honor of the Years of Industrial Development, the institute signed a “2 + 2” agreement with the Oil and Gas University of the People’s Republic of China. On the basis of this agreement, students will study in Tajikistan for two years, and for the next two years in China. Education in China will be free. Diplomas will also be received there.

This is not the first experience of interaction between Tajikistan and China on the example of this university. There is one of the “Confucius Institutes” in the ecosystem of the Mining and Metallurgical Institute of Tajikistan.

The Mining and Metallurgical Institute of Tajikistan has three faculties – “Mining”, “Energomechanics”, “Metallurgy” and fifteen departments, including – “Metallurgy”, “Ecology”, “Oil and Gas Business”, “Development of mineral deposits”, ” Power supply”, “Technology of mechanical engineering and equipment”, “Economics and management”, “Mechanics”. More than three thousand students study in it, not only from Tajikistan, but also from other countries.
