Belarusian Defense Ministry Approves Cooperation Plans With Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan


The Belarusian Defense Ministry approved plans for cooperation with Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, BelTA reports with reference to the Ministry of Defense.

A meeting of heads of defense ministries of the SCO and the CIS member-states was held in Moscow. Lieutenant General Victor Khrenin represented the Belarusian delegation at the event.

According to the agenda, the parties exchanged views on challenges and threats to military security and measures to neutralize them. Issues of interaction of defense agencies both in multilateral and bilateral formats were also discussed. During the exchange of opinions Viktor Khrenin informed about the position of the Belarusian side and assessed the state and prospects of regional and international security.

During the international forum, plans for bilateral cooperation between the defense agencies of Belarus and the defense agencies of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan for 2023 were approved.
