Tajikistan is interested in developing cooperation with Russian regions and creating joint ventures with Russian entrepreneurs. This is how the press service of the President of Tajikistan commented on the outcome of the meeting between Emomali Rahmon and the Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region, Yevgeny Kuyvashev.
According to Emomali Rahmon, the Tajik side is committed to progressively expanding relations between the two countries. Today, more than 80 constituent entities of the Russian Federation have direct trade and economic ties with Tajikistan. The Sverdlovsk region occupies an important place among the republic’s partners. The Tajik leader paid special attention to investment cooperation and the creation of joint ventures.
Also during the meeting, issues of labor activity of citizens of the republic in the territory of the Russian Federation and promising areas of cooperation – energy, pharmaceuticals and tourism were discussed.
Speaking at the forum, Russian Ambassador to Dushanbe Semyon Grigoriev noted that the visit of the delegation of the Sverdlovsk region to Tajikistan is a development of the agreements that were reached by the two presidents in Moscow. Emomali Rahmon made an official visit to Moscow on November 21-22, during which he met with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
