Servicemen of the 201st Russian military base stationed in Tajikistan carried out a humanitarian action to provide drinking water to the residents of the Safedchashma village of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The Russian military transported water by tanker trucks and filled the installed reservoirs in the yards of local residents. In total, 10 tons of clean drinking water were delivered, thereby more than 1,000 residents of the village, of which 600 children, received a supply of water for the next month.
Every year during the hot season, when abnormal heat reigns in Tajikistan, military personnel of the 201st military base several times a week deliver drinking water to residents of remote villages of the republic who do not have access to safe water sources and experience a shortage of this vital resource.
Recall that the 201st military base stationed in Tajikistan is Russia’s largest military facility outside its borders. It is located in two cities of Dushanbe and Bokhtar. It consists of motorized rifle, tank, artillery, reconnaissance units, air defense units, NBC defense and communications units.
