The representatives of the parties that signed the agreement were Nikolai Kropachev, who is the rector of St. Petersburg State University (SPbSU), and Jurazoda Jamshed Khabibullo, who is the first deputy minister of education and science of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The parties plan to strengthen partnership relations through joint projects aimed at training qualified personnel in the field of culture, healthcare, industry and medical law. It is also planned to implement measures to increase academic mobility, joint research work, as well as the development of online courses with their subsequent promotion on the online platforms of the Russian Federation and Tajikistan.
As part of his welcoming speech, Jurazoda Jamshed Khabibullo noted that in recent years in Tajikistan there has been a significant increase in the demand for schools with the study of the Russian language. He also said that today the countries have the opportunity to implement their plans, emphasizing that the Consulate General of the Republic of Tajikistan intends to provide comprehensive support in the implementation of joint projects with St. Petersburg State University.
In turn, Nikolai Kropachev expressed hope for an active expansion of cooperation, with the subsequent representation of Tajikistan in the educational programs of St. Petersburg State University.
