By the verdict of the Aleksandrovsky City Court dated July 18, a native and citizen of the Republic of Tajikistan was sentenced to imprisonment for 2 years for intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm, dangerous to human life, with the use of a knife.
It was established that on the evening of May 9 last year near the cafe “Minutka” in Alexandrov there was a mass brawl between immigrants from Tajikistan and one of the republics of the Russian Federation. In the heat of a fight, one stabbed the other with a knife, and then fled the scene and went to his homeland. A few months later, the man was detained, he confessed.
“When imposing punishment, the court took into account that the convicted person admitted his guilt and repented of his deed, had not previously been brought to criminal and administrative responsibility, has a family and a young child, wrote a confession, actively cooperated with the investigating authorities, and the victim himself reconciled with the guilty and asked for mitigation of punishment, ”the press service of the Aleksandrovsky City Court reported.
Also, when sentencing, the unlawful behavior of the victim, which provoked the conflict, was taken into account. The verdict has not yet entered into force.
